THE BELL AND BEACON
The Bell and Beacon, a restaurant in Parkdale, Toronto, had an outdated and inconsistent brand identity that failed to resonate with its target audience. This led to weak customer engagement, ineffective marketing efforts, and a lack of strong visual presence in a competitive area. Without a clear and cohesive design system, the restaurant struggled to establish itself as a recognizable and engaging destination.

CRAFTING A BRAND EXPERIENCE, NOT JUST A LOOK
A restaurant’s brand is more than its logo—it’s the atmosphere, the story, the feeling it evokes before a guest even steps inside. When The Bell and Beacon needed a refreshed identity, I saw an opportunity to create a design system that didn’t just look good but enhanced the way customers experienced the brand. The challenge was to refine the restaurant’s presence while ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, from menus to social media.

STRATEGIC DESIGN WITH PURPOSE
Working as part of the design team, I played a key role in redefining the restaurant’s visual identity, developing a new logo, typography system, and marketing collateral. Every element was crafted to reflect the restaurant’s unique character—elevated yet welcoming, modern yet timeless. Our approach went beyond aesthetics; we ensured every design decision reinforced the restaurant’s story and engaged its audience effectively. By designing a suite of digital and print assets, including event promotions and marketing materials, we built a cohesive system that made the brand instantly recognizable.

IMPACT BEYOND AESTHETICS
The redesigned identity strengthened The Bell and Beacon’s presence in the community, driving increased foot traffic and deeper engagement with its audience. A more cohesive and modern brand experience positioned the restaurant as a standout destination in a competitive market. The new visual system made marketing efforts more effective, leading to stronger audience retention and a lasting emotional connection with patrons.
